Blaine Lake Raiders Senior Hockey

Blaine Lake has a rich hockey tradition dating back to the days of outdoor rinks. In 1953, a dedicated committee of volunteers and residents came together to fundraise for a covered facility. Their efforts paid off in February 1955, when the community gathered to celebrate the grand opening of the covered rink, a milestone made possible through years of hard work and perseverance.

Over the decades, the barn-style rink has served as home ice for senior hockey, peewee, and recreational teams alike. Today, it is the home of the Blaine Lake Raiders Senior Hockey Team, who reignited a passion for the sport in the area after a lengthy hiatus.

The achievement stands as a testament to the enduring community spirit that has defined hockey in Blaine Lake from the very beginning.
